Human Services Worker II - F/C OpsThis is a highly responsible and professional position serving as a Human Services Worker II – F/C Ops within Rehabilitation Services. If you are driven, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.Specific duties and responsibilities include:Providing residential care, assisting with enrichment activities and supporting the treatment, psychiatric rehabilitation, stabilization and recovery of people with a mental illness.Developing and maintaining a professional caregiver relationship with people served and shall not exceed relationship boundaries by developing personal friendships, sharing personal information or exchanging personal items.Preserving the rights, safety and security of people served via observation, communication and intervention.Supporting activities of daily living of people served by assisting or performing tasks as described in Children and Families Operating Procedures (CFOP) 155-1.Documenting behavior of person served while not experiencing distress, being escorted, eating meals, on special observation status, in the seclusion room and in restraints.Assessing needs and service provision by way of assisting with meaningful life activities, encouraging people served to attend scheduled or alternative engagement activities, supporting treatment and psychiatric rehabilitation services, and serving as a personal advocate.Acting as residential living area coordinator in the absence of assigned supervisory staff member and performing other duties as assigned.An ideal candidate will be able to engage cooperatively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders, simultaneously manage multiple priority projects nimbly and seamlessly, be flexible and able to function and succeed both with and without extensive direction, understand and appreciate SAMH's vision and demonstrate the ability to execute projects, assignments, and policy updates timely and accurately within a fast-paced environment, function both independently and in a team environment, propose solutions to complex problems, and determine the best "yes," through the use of comprehensive research.Knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position include principles and practices of health care or behavioral sciences, physical agility requirements, and the ability to document effectively, plan, organize and coordinate work assignments, and communicate effectively.Minimum qualifications include being 18 years of age at time of hire, six months of experience working in a medical, psychiatric, nursing, or childcare setting, customer service experience or in working with developmentally disabled persons; or in working in a correctional facility OR college or vocational/technical training from an accredited institution at the rate of 15 semester, 22 quarter or 360 classroom hours; OR do you possess a current State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) license.Location: Chattahoochee, FL, US, 32324
