Biomedical Engineer

To contribute to our R&D and manufacturing teams by performing design, optimization and DFM strategies for various medical tools, devices and parts. Job Description Designing, developing, testing and modifying and optimizing medical products, equipment and devices, Maintaining equipment and running experiment, Modeling and simulation of medical devices, Analyze data, prepare and present results in the forms of graphs, plots, figures, Perform data and statistical analysis, Writing test protocols, reports and documentation, Liaising with medical, engineering and scientific staff, Among other relevant tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Working towards a BSc in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering degree, Minimum of 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA, Must show enthusiasm and passion for research and development, Strong mechanical aptitude, Excellent interpersonal skills, Strong organizational skills, Strong oral and written skills in English, Moderate physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis,Must be able to pass a criminal and background checks, Being able to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week, Work authorization status (visa, permanent residency, citizenship), and a second form of ID. Preferred Qualifications Prior relevant academic projects and/or internships, Prior industry experience with medical devices, Working with CAD design software such as SolidWorks, Creo, ProEngineer, Working with FEM and modeling software such as Ansys and Abaqus, Working with MATLAB toolboxes, Some levels of skillset with coding and programming, Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
