Press Operator

Job DescriptionThe primary responsibility of the press operator will be to operate equipment used in the manufacturing process. The operator will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on production equipment as well as troubleshooting when necessary. This person will work closely with other departments such as Quality Assurance and Maintenance to ensure product specifications are met.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate various types of presses.Perform changeovers between products or batches.Performs routine maintenance on presses.Troubleshoots basic issues with presses and makes minor repairs.Observes operation of presses and adjusts as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.Works safely and reports any unsafe conditions or injuries immediately.Adheres to all FDA regulations, GMP's, HSE policies and procedures.Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of area.Communicates effectively and wears proper identification.QualificationsEducation:High School Diploma or GEDExperience:Experience working in a fast paced and evolving environment.Ability to work overtime as required (both during the week and on call).Previous experience operating presses preferred.Mechanically inclined.Training/certification in operating presses preferred.Ability to read/write English documentsBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Ability to perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.Why Join Us?To find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
