Service Now Software Asset Management (SAM) Implementer/Developer

Role Description

Serve as the Principal Service Now application developer responsible for implementing Software Asset Management solution design using best industry and Service Now practices.

• Facilitate requirements gathering and document requirements.
• Design and develop solutions within the Service Now environment to include new or modifications to applications, forms, flow, workflow, UI policies, UI actions, Business Rules, ACLs, UI Builder, and any other configurations required to support client processes.
• Translate requirements/stories and mock-ups into fully functional features by working closely with the team lead.
• Develop JavaScript server/client code as required.
• Create and use update sets and XMLs to move customer configuration and data between environments.
• Provide advanced support for Service Now by troubleshooting a variety of difficult software problems, implementing bug fixes, and performing root cause analysis.
• Participate in product discovery sessions and process definitions with team lead and other developers.
• Lead efforts and provide guidance in requirements gathering and developing/documenting process workflows.
• Develop Service Now solutions and push developments from DEV to TEST to PROD using Agile methodologies.
• Work with advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
• Challenge with working on complex technical problems and providing innovative solutions.
• Work with highly experienced and technical resources.
• All other duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications

• 7 years of direct development experience with the Service Now platform - E2E lifecycle for ITAM including SAM, CMDB, Discovery, MID Servers, Workflow/Notifications, Workspaces, UI Policies, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Catalog Client Scripts, Catalog UI Policies, Email Scripts, ACL Roles / Groups.
• 5 years of experience with importing and exporting data to Service Now using data loads, transform maps and transform scripts.
• 5 years of experience developing Service Now SAM Implementations.

• Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist - Discovery.
• Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• Solid Service Now ITOM Developer knowledge and experience (Software/Hardware Asset Management, CMDB, MID Server setup and Product Discovery).
• Skills with using JavaScript, REST and SOAP integrations.
• Experience with Service Now App Engine Studio with UI Builder.
• Experience designing and developing Service Now process flows and workflow.

Desired Skills

• Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist - Software Asset Management.
• Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist - Discovery.
• Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Service Now Data Import experience.
• Agile development.
• System integration (SOAP, REST, Stored Procedures, Queues, etc.).

Education

• Bachelor's degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 years of prior relevant experience.

Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.
