Moore & Van Allen PLLC, a dynamic and fast-growing full-service law firm of more than 400 attorneys and professionals, is seeking a Director of Public Affairs to work in our Charlotte office. What You'll Do: This position will work with the Managing Director and the other Directors to perform and/or assist with research, analysis, legislative monitoring, and lobbying. What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree is required; Political Science or a related field is preferred. Must have 7-10 years of experience in federal or state government, government relations, and/or political campaign work. Excellent project management and interpersonal communication skills with outstanding writing, proofreading and oral communications skills. Proficiency with MS Office Suite is required. Must possess a valid and current driver's license. Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary. It requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. The work at times requires bending, squatting, and reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weights. More than 40 hours per week may be required to accomplish essential functions of the position. We will provide a competitive salary and benefits package to the right individual.
