Family Assistant

We are recruiting on behalf of a private Austin household seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy, and proactive Family Assistant to support the Principal and help manage day-to-day logistics for their school-age children. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and thrives in an organized, fast-paced environment. The role combines executive and administrative support with afternoon activity, homework, and family logistics, rather than traditional nanny responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Family & Executive Support: Provide administrative and organizational support to the Principal while helping manage day-to-day family logistics. Childcare Logistics: Coordinate school pickups, afternoon activities, homework, appointments, and other schedules for the children. Scheduling & Organization: Keep family calendars, activities, and commitments organized while proactively anticipating upcoming needs. Communication & Follow-Through: Manage communication with schools, activity providers, vendors, and other family contacts, ensuring tasks are followed through to completion. Events & Activities: Assist with birthday parties, children's events, and other family gatherings. Technology & AI: Leverage modern digital and AI tools to streamline administrative tasks, organization, and communication. Travel Support: Provide periodic assistance with family travel logistics as needed. What We Are Looking For Experience: Experience working with school-age children through tutoring, teaching, camp counseling, Family Assistant roles, or similar experience. Organization: Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Technology: Comfortable learning and leveraging modern technology and AI tools to improve efficiency. Proactive Approach: Naturally takes initiative, closes the loop on tasks and communication, and anticipates needs. Flexibility: Willing to pitch in wherever needed and adapt to the changing needs of a busy household. Driving: Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and clean driving record. Discretion: Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and protect the family's privacy. Personality: Warm, dependable, resourceful, and genuinely enjoys working with children.
