Typical Functions:Performs nursing procedures or specialized functions in accordance with knowledge, skills, and licensure.Participates in the evaluation of responses to interventions.Assists in assessing, reporting, and recording health status of patients in various settings.Participates in developing and implementing appropriate aspects of a plan of care.Administers medications as ordered.Reports appropriate patient information to supervisor or designated health team member. Level Descriptor:Level IThis is the basic level where employees perform routine entry-level tasks under close professional supervision to build their skills in providing nursing care as a licensed practical nurse. Level IIThis is the career level where employees perform a full range of nursing assignments and tasks at full performance level.Responsibilities include providing guidance and training to others in completing routine nursing tasks and activities. RequirementsAll health care staff shall be required to complete online training prior to assignment.Documentation of completed training shall be provided to the designated Nurse Manager prior to assignment. Education and Experience:Level IRequires possession of a valid permanent nursing license approved by the relevant nursing board or a recognized license. Level IIRequires possession of a valid permanent nursing license approved by the relevant nursing board plus one year of practical nursing experience, or a recognized license with one year of practical nursing experience.
