Must-Have: RRT must also be able to float to ER and Adult ICU Stepdown units

NICU assignments will vary based on acuity

Description: This position requires an RRT who can provide care in both NICU and adult units including floors, emergency department, and intensive care units. The candidate must have experience in airway management, medication administration, arterial blood gases, oxygen therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, BiPAP, CPAP, and nebulizers. Experience in neonatal, emergency, and adult intensive care is preferred, but experience in all areas is not mandatory. The role involves providing aerosol, bronchial hygiene, and lung inflation therapies. Arterial blood gas draw and analysis, CPAP/BiPAP implementation and management are essential functions of this position. Candidates must attend monthly department meetings if scheduled. In case of absence, they must read the meeting minutes and acknowledge understanding to the managers. This position includes interaction with patients of all ages, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Availability for every other weekend and holiday is required. On-call responsibilities may also be part of the scheduling. Travelers have a 90-day window to acquire necessary certifications. Knowledge of specific ventilators is preferred. Travelers may be assigned to multiple care areas during their shifts based on the needs of the facility. The candidate is expected to follow and encourage adherence to safety and quality initiatives autonomously. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work well in a team environment while fulfilling individual responsibilities.
