Position: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Location: Lake Saint Louis MO

Type of Employment: Full-Time

SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis offers residents of western St. Charles Lincoln and Warren Counties exceptional health care close to home. Our 216-bed hospital is a state-designated Level III Trauma Center a Level II Time Critical Diagnosis STEMI Center and specializes in obstetric and pediatric care as well as many other specialties.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of a licensed OT assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for those assigned patients in order to enhance patient care services.
Consistently communicates with supervising OT in regard to scheduled patients to ensure identification of need for assessment and reassessment of patients modification of treatment plans and other interventions requiring therapist direction.
Participates in education of patients families students coworkers and self.
Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient within the scope of practice.

Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree in a OT Assistant program required.
Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) required.
Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
