Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver Credentialing in Detroit, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Deliver exceptional customer service and communication while working collaboratively with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of industrial facilities, process areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor activity, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, equipment concerns, and potential hazards to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
