Project Manager – Water/WastewaterWaggoner Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager – Water/Wastewater to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. This position plays a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, providing technical expertise and engineering support throughout all phases of project development. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule and within budget. In addition to project responsibilities, this role will provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineering staff, supporting their professional growth and development.Your Primary Responsibilities Will IncludePerform engineering analyses and evaluations, primarily computer-based, in support of the planning and design of civil infrastructure projectsConduct hydraulic modeling and analysis of: water distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection systems, well pumps, sewer lift stations, transmission pumping stationsAnalyze and evaluate treatment alternatives for potable water and wastewater treatment facilitiesAnalyze and evaluate water and sewer rate structuresDevelop planning studies, assessments, and recommendations related to public water and wastewater infrastructure needsPerform the analysis and design of: water distribution systems, water supply and treatment facilities, sanitary sewer systems and related components, transmission, treatment, and disposal systemsAssess existing system conditions and develop recommended corrective or remedial measuresMaintain and document written and verbal communications with clients throughout project development and completionReview project status with project managers and team members to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely completion of workAttend client meetings and participate in project discussionsAssist with the preparation of engineering studies, technical reports, and project documentationProvide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to project team membersPrepare project designs using sound engineering principles, industry-standard software, and applicable design toolsAssist in the preparation of contract documents, plans, and technical specificationsSupport in implementing and maintaining quality control proceduresEnsure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and engineering standardsWhat You'll NeedRequired EducationBachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringExperienceFive or more years of related design experience, and knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations requiredCertifications/RegistrationsLicense as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Louisiana required. Licensure as a PE or ability to obtain such within six months in contiguous states is desiredOther Knowledge and SkillsProficient in design using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Micro Station, ESRI productsAdvanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project requiredCommunication skills and in-depth knowledge of company products and operationsWhy Join Our TeamWe know work isn't only about what you do, it's also about who you work for and with!
