JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, programming, and commissioning of automated eyewear assembly systems.

Responsibilities:

Lead medium-to-large automation and new product introduction projects.
Design and integrate PLC, HMI, robotics, machine controls, and safety systems .
Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and 6-axis robots .
Develop machine designs, wiring, control schemes, and technical documentation.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams.
Troubleshoot equipment and implement improvements for safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
Mentor junior engineers and technicians and support project planning and commissioning.

Qualifications:

BS in Engineering with 7+ years of experience .
Strong PLC programming, HMI, robotics, and electromechanical systems experience.
Experience with Ladder Logic, Structured Text, 6-axis robotics, and 3D CAD/SOLIDWORKS .
High-volume manufacturing and automated assembly experience.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Fanuc, Denso, YuMi, Cognex Vision, Lean Six Sigma, and eyewear industry experience are preferred.
