New Vitae Wellness and Recovery is seeking dynamic, compassionate Therapists (LPC/LCSW) to join our talented Team! POSITION FUNCTION Coordinates and provides therapeutic services for Outpatient and Partial Hospital consumers and their families. Assists with treatment planning via feedback loops and provision of objectives as needed. JOB RELATIONSHIPS

Other Clinical/Non-clinical staff as needed and permitted by clients AUTHORITY
• The therapist shall have the authority and responsibility to facilitate his/her assigned individual and group psychotherapy sessions.
• The therapist shall have the authority to monitor and report on the consumers' progress as it relates to individual and group therapy and individualized treatment goals.
• The therapist shall have the authority to generate an individualized progress note following the completion of each clinical session. COMPETENCIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
Communication:
Young Adult: Demonstrates ability to communicate with young adults in a way which foster independence and promote self-esteem.
Adult: Demonstrates ability to communicate with dignity and respect. 1. Uses age-appropriate vocabulary while displaying compassion, respect, flexibility, and hope to all individuals.
2. Displays objective, empathetic detachment and willingness to become conscious of, and manage personal biases, maintaining a non-judgmental, non-punitive demeanor and approach.
3. Consistently uses patience and persistence in helping to establish and maintain the consumer's motivation. Assessment:
Demonstrates the ability to assess the consumer for symptomatology and functioning levels to support diagnosis. 1. Gathers data in relation to the consumer's age and provides relevant information to the Multidisciplinary Treatment Team.
• Young Adult (Age 18-21 years)
2. Collaborates with the multidisciplinary Treatment Team to review the psychosocial history and assessment.
3. Demonstrates knowledge of interactions between mental illness and substance abuse.
4. Demonstrates knowledge of and skills with substance abuse, dependence and other addictive behaviors over the course of treatment. Planning:
Demonstrates the ability to assist with developing an individualized, consumer-centered treatment plan that structures the course of treatment.
1. Identifies/provides feedback to identify goals, measurable objectives, and interventions to assist consumers in attaining these goals.
2. Throughout the treatment planning process uses knowledge of normal growth and development for young adults and adults. Implementation:
Demonstrates the ability to move consumers toward problem-resolution within an acceptable time frame.
1. Provides individual and group therapy and family counseling as appropriate/needed.
2. Records consumers attendance following direct contact or missed appointments.
3. Documents consumer progress in accordance to established treatment goals.
4. Provides one on one time to address certain issues or when requested by a consumer, family member or the multidisciplinary Treatment Team.
5. Refers consumers through the proper channels when their problems require a different level of assistance.
6. Networks with community agencies (including Resource Coordinators/Intensive Case Managers, etc.) as authorized by the client to increase service delivery.
7. Supervises and guides Mentor I and Mentor II interventions with Young Adult consumers.
8. Participates in regularly scheduled clinical case review and administrative meetings. Evaluation:
Demonstrates the ability to continuously evaluate the consumers' response to treatment approaches and assists to modify the treatment plan to achieve the goals.
1. Participates in interagency communication as it applies to facilitating consumer's treatment plan.
2. Assists in the periodic review of the consumer's treatment plans.
3. Organizes time and caseload such that all treatment plan reviews are completed with the time frames set by funding and/or regulatory requirements.
4. Provides feedback to complete clinical discharges of consumers, which meet established payer and/or regulatory standards/requirements. Safety: Young Adult: Demonstrates ability to set appropriate limits.
Adult: Demonstrates skills in maintaining consumer safety in the treatment setting.
1. Monitors male-female and other interactions and appropriately intervenes when boundaries are violated.
2. Monitors and maintains the environment for safety of the consumer, staff, and visitors. OTHER ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS 1. Abides by the Employee Health policies.
2. Attends mandatory training sessions at orientation and annually there after: General Safety (fire and disaster practices); Confidentiality, Infection Control, etc.
3. Completes 12 hours of internal or external training ACCOUNTABILITY 1. Maintain confidentiality of consumer and staff information.
2. Understand the JCAHO, State, and County regulations that affect New Vitae Partial Hospital Program and the Young Adult Unit. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS 1. Reports to the multidisciplinary Treatment Team on the progress of consumer's treatment goals and other relevant issues, such as attendance, compliance with medications.
2. Reports serious incidents and/or breaches in policy and procedure to the Program Director. QUALIFICATIONS 1. Education:
Required: Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences from an accredited college or university. Must have current licensure in Pennsylvania (LPC or LCSW).
2. Experience:
Required: A minimum of one (1) year of paid professional experience in a behavioral health setting.
Preferred: At least three (3) years paid professional experience in a behavioral health setting.
3. Skills, knowledge, abilities:
• Knowledge of regulatory and licensing requirements, and quality improvement theory and techniques
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary structure
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Age specific skill and knowledge are required to understand appropriate range of needed treatment interventions
• Ability to establish a working relationship with a diverse population of consumers 4. Personal attitudes and attributes

• Maintains a cooperative posture in working with others
• Has the emotional maturity to withstand the stresses of this position
