Accounting Clerk

Description Gallagher Fluid Seals is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper with hands-on QuickBooks experience to support the company's day-to-day accounting and financial operations. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, and assisting with month-end financial reporting. Description of Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks. Record daily financial transactions, including deposits, expenses, payments, and journal entries. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts. Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are properly categorized. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Prepare routine financial reports and summaries for management review. Review, code, and process vendor invoices for payment. Verify invoice accuracy, approvals, and supporting documentation. Track payment due dates and maintain positive vendor relationships. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies. Prepare and issue customer invoices. Apply customer payments and maintain accurate accounts receivable records. Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due invoices. Research and resolve customer billing and payment discrepancies. All other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements 2+ years of bookkeeping or general accounting experience preferred. Demonstrated hands-on experience using QuickBooks is required. Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and bank reconciliations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
