The Arizona Department of Economic Security (AZDES) Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to support data analysis, reporting, database management, and business intelligence initiatives. The analyst will work with large and complex datasets, develop queries and analytical reports, identify trends and data quality issues, and provide technical assistance to business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, inconsistencies, and efficiency opportunities.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, databases, and data analysis solutions.
• Perform statistical and business analysis using quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
• Utilize SQL, Tableau, Excel, SAS, R, Google, FOCUS, OnBase, and Visio for data management and analysis.
• Perform computational evaluations including sums, means, proportions, rates, and other statistical measures.
• Develop reports, graphs, longitudinal flowcharts, and statistical narratives from available data.
• Gather, interpret, maintain, and validate data for analytical, policy, and business operations.
• Establish standards and methods to identify data completeness, consistency, and quality issues.
• Analyze data acquisition, management, quality, and application processes.
• Develop functional and technical specifications for data analysis in collaboration with business and technical staff.
• Provide technical assistance and database support to internal and external business partners.
• Communicate complex analytical and technical information effectively to non-technical audiences.
• Support end users with database-related questions, troubleshooting, and technical assistance.
• Maintain awareness of security, privacy, and policies governing confidential data.
• Apply data collection, research, workflow, and statistical analysis methodologies to support program effectiveness.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare clear, concise, accurate analytical and statistical reports.
• Support data systems and applications used to monitor and review program information.
• Apply strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills while managing multiple priorities.
