Picture this: It’s 6:55 a.m. in Valley View, OH. You grab your PPE, review the job packet for a stainless order, and cue up the thread rolling machine. You dial in speed, pressure, and die contact, confirm the spec, and send the first bar through. You lift the next bundle with the overhead crane, verify heat numbers, and keep the traveler with every container. Between runs, you log production in the ERP, record SPC to spec, and capture any downtime. The goal is steady flow, clean handoffs, and parts that meet our Quality Policy—every time.

ISO 9001 certified and proudly USA-made, our parts show up everywhere: the anchor bolts holding streetlights, the screw drive in garage door openers, C‑clamps, highway guard rails—even components that go into airplanes, elevators, and aluminum wheels.

The role

As a Roll Threading Technician on our first shift (Mon–Fri), you’ll set up and operate thread rolling equipment to meet set-up and piece-per-hour standards, maximize machine uptime, and escalate issues quickly. Prefer second shift? We also run 3:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m., Mon–Thu. Prior roll threading experience helps, but isn’t required—mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and curiosity to learn are musts. Pay is based on your knowledge and experience.

What your day looks like

1. Gear up with PPE and review the job packet—materials, tooling, and specs.
2. Set and fine-tune controls: speed, pressure, and die contact to hit spec.
3. Run parts while monitoring safety, quality, and productivity targets.
4. Keep heat/mill numbers straight; tag every container before producing parts.
5. Use the overhead crane safely to move bars and workpieces.
6. Capture set-up, production time, piece counts, downtime, and training in the ERP.
7. Record SPC data and verify it against the job’s requirements.
8. Tackle 6‑S and 2‑Second Lean improvements or maintenance during downtime.
9. Leave the machine ready for the next run; transport parts with full traceability.

Bring these skills

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and basic data entry
• Ability to read blueprints/engineering drawings and follow specifications
• Mechanical savvy to make machine adjustments for material, tooling, or program conditions
• Troubleshooting skills and good judgment on corrective actions
• Measurement fluency: micrometers, verniers, calipers, comparators, go/no‑go gauges, pins, nuts, tape measures
• Strong attendance, punctuality, and work ethic
• Team player who also works independently to improve processes

Physical and schedule details

• On your feet with bending throughout the shift
• Lift 40–50 lbs; push/pull carts up to ~200 lbs
• Overtime as requested by the Operations Manager
• First shift Mon–Fri; optional second shift Mon–Thu, 3:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m.
