Experienced Handyman / Maintenance Technician

(Basic HVAC Experience Preferred)

Safe Space Home Services is looking for an experienced handyman to join our growing team serving homeowners and property management companies throughout the Austin area.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, communicates well with customers, and can complete jobs without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Drywall repair and texture
• Interior and exterior painting
• Faucet, toilet, and garbage disposal replacement
• Ceiling fan and light fixture installation
• Door, trim, and hardware repairs
• Minor plumbing and electrical troubleshooting
• Fence, siding, and general carpentry repairs
• Make-ready and maintenance work
• Basic HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting (drain line clearing, capacitors, contactors, filters, thermostat replacement, blower motors, etc.)

Qualifications

• 5+ years of handyman or residential maintenance experience
• Experience working inside occupied homes
• Basic HVAC knowledge preferred (EPA certification is a plus but not required)
• Must have your own basic tools
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to troubleshoot problems instead of just replacing parts
• Professional appearance and excellent communication skills
