As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a public library location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patrons and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.40 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon10:00 AM - 06:00 PMTue10:00 AM - 06:00 PMWed10:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to library patrons, staff, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout library facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with maintaining orderly public spaces, and report security-related observations according to site procedures. Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
