Nurse EducatorThe Nurse Educator enhances professional practice and the provision of quality patient care by providing evidence-based quality educational programs and activities that promote professional competency for nursing, inter-professional, and non-licensed clinical staff at post-acute care facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with the Trumen Chief Medical Officer to create and adjust the program based on evaluation results.Designs and identifies educational activities to address practice gaps for identified target audiences, including licensed and non-licensed healthcare personnelDevelops activities to achieve specific outcomes related to identified deficits or opportunities for improvement in knowledge, skill and practice. Plans educational content delivery that encourages learner engagement.Engages in collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to drive professional development initiatives and achieve optimal results.Participates in the delivery of core, entity-wide learning activities, and may collaborate with other practitioners or interdisciplinary team members.Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principlesServes as a clinical resource utilizing effective communication skills.Travel throughout the Greater Houston area to support clinical staff at post-acute facilities that are serviced by Trumen Physicians and Associates.Acts as an effective change agentQualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of NursingRegistered Nurse (RN) - Texas State Licensure OR LVN with at least 4 years of post-acute experienceAt least four years of nursing clinical experienceNursing professional development experience is preferred
