As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide courteous assistance to patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.85 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PMSun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established healthcare location protocols. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and escort requests in accordance with site-specific procedures. Document incidents, observations, and/or unusual activity accurately and report relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 2 years of security-related experience. Be willing to receive required hospital vaccinations. The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
