Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Telemetry Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong cardiac telemetry experience and the ability to manage complex patient conditions. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, myocardial infarction (MI), acute coronary syndrome (ACS), uncontrolled diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), and heart failure. Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, addressing any dysrhythmias promptly. Administer cardiac drips and manage associated patient needs. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient care and safety. Float to other units as required to support patient care needs. Maintain a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, consistent with unit standards. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a preference for candidates with step-down unit experience. Prior cardiac telemetry experience is essential. Current certifications required: ACLS, BCLS, and NIH. EKG testing required prior to start. Shift Details 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. Availability to work 36 or 48 hours per week, with options for a 13-week assignment or longer. Weekend shifts are required, with a total of 8 weekend shifts during the contract period. Unit Information Average daily census: 23 patients on the unit. Must have the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment as part of a team. 3-day unit orientation will be provided, including training on electronic health records systems. Dress Code Scrubs in navy or white are required. Key Skills The position requires strong IV start skills and the capacity to manage cardiac-related procedures.
