Availability

• Start Date: September (full-time ongoing need)
• Schedule:
  • Tuesday-Friday, 7am-5pm (4 weeks/month)
• August Coverage Option:
  • 8/21-8/28 (flexible: 5x8s, 4x10s, or 3x12s)
• Call Opportunities:
  • 1-2 weekends/month (Fri 5pm - Mon 7am)
  • Weeknight call: 4 shifts/month (5pm-7am)
  • Weekend rounding: Sat-Sun, 8am-12pm

• Active New York License (required, in hand)
• Board Certified (required)
• AHA Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • ATLS
• Minimum 2 years recent experience (required)

• Robotics experience (required)
• Surgical First Assist experience
• Epic EMR experience (required)

• Role: Surgery NP/PA (First Assist + Floor Coverage)
• EMR: Epic
• Patient Ratio: 1:10-15
• Beds: 109 total

• Operating Room (First Assist):
  • Suturing, stapling, cauterization
  • Hemostasis and wound management
  • Assisting with suction, drainage, irrigation
  • Patient positioning and intraoperative support
• Floor Coverage:
  • Rounding and progress notes
  • Orders, consults, and discharges
• Patient Mix:
  • General Surgery
  • OB/GYN
  • Orthopedics

• Team includes physician, NP, anesthesia, and LPN support
• Acuity: Adult patients with varied acute conditions
• Automated dispensing: Pyxis
