Cath Lab Registered Nurse As a Cath Lab Registered Nurse, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn –whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You will help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing. Responsibilities Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of Cardiac Cath patients pre, intra and post procedure. Assist physicians in operative procedures. Maintain and review patients’ records, including posting tests and examination results. Administer medications in accordance with physician orders. Qualifications Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If a compact license is held, an active FL RN license is required within 60 days of hire. Diploma or ASN in Nursing required; BSN preferred. American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer. One to three years’ experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician. Critical thinking, service excellence, good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, and PC skills.
