Chemist I - GC VOA (Multiple Shifts) Eurofins Environment Testing Southwest - Calscience, Tustin, CA

Eurofins Environment Testing Southwest seeks a Chemist I to prepare and analyze environmental water and soil samples using gas chromatography according to EPA protocols. The role involves instrument maintenance, data review, and compliance with quality assurance standards in a laboratory setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare water and soil samples for purge and trap gas chromatography analysis
- Evaluate chromatography results for qualitative and quantitative accuracy
- Upload and peer review analytical data in laboratory information management system
- Perform instrument maintenance including column replacement and ion source cleaning
- Prepare standards and reagents; maintain instrument calibrations per QAQC requirements
Requirements
- 1+ years operating gas chromatography in academic or production laboratory
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in chemistry or related field
- 3 years laboratory experience may substitute for degree
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and evaluate results
- Work independently following written and verbal instructions
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Authorized to work indefinitely in United States without sponsorship
Compensation: $18–$22 per hour depending on qualifications and experience
