Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum. Ensures the safety, comfort, and well-being of mothers and newborns through skilled clinical practices.

Responsibilities:

• Assess laboring patients to monitor fetal and maternal well-being.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Assist during labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth processes and postpartum care.
• Document patient information accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong knowledge of obstetric and neonatal care practices.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills.
