Accountant & Corporate Services Backup About the Role

You’ll own day‑to‑day Accounts Payable operations, support key financial processes, and learn cross‑functional skills in Supply Chain and Customer Service. • Process supplier invoices (email/mail) and match them with purchase orders and receiving records.
• Enter invoices into SYSPRO and prepare weekly payments (Checks, ACH, AmEx, wires).
• Maintain supplier accounts, create new vendors, and keep W‑9/1099 information up to date.
• File paid invoices, organize AP records, and follow retention schedules.
• Prepare weekly accounting reports for leadership.

• Maintain schedules and spreadsheets (capital projects, leases, utilities, sales tax binders, etc.).
• Reconcile fixed assets, prepaid accounts, and PayPal activity monthly.
• Prepare annual 1099 reports and assist with year‑end AP file setup.
• Train to become the company’s Sales Tax Reconciliation expert.

• Learn Senior Accountant tasks to serve as a reliable backup.
• Support Supply Chain and Customer Service teams when needed.
• Help improve internal documentation and training materials.

• BA/AS in Accounting or 5+ years accounting experience (manufacturing experience a plus).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and multitasking ability.
• Experience with AP/AR, ERP systems, Excel, and Word.
• Clear communication skills — written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and willingness to learn NYS Sales Tax rules.

• Hands-on experience across accounting, supply chain, and customer service.
• Skill-building with SYSPRO ERP, UniPoint Quality Management, and audit readiness.
