Family Medicine Faculty Physician

Job Description

Our organization is proud to present the Family Medicine Residency Program located in Spartanburg, South Carolina, recognized nationally for its excellence in community family medicine education. We are looking to expand our core faculty by adding a Family Medicine Faculty Physician . This program collaborates with both the Medical University of South Carolina and the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine - Carolinas Campus.

Position Highlights

Welcoming 12 Family Medicine residents each year
First in the state to achieve ACGME Osteopathic Recognition
Offers a balanced mix of outpatient and inpatient experiences, with around 6 weeks of inpatient duties annually
Largest Family Medicine residency program in the state
Supportive and collegial faculty environment

Candidate Requirements

The ideal applicant should be eligible for a South Carolina medical license and possess board certification in Family Medicine. A passion for teaching is essential, along with practical experience or completion of a faculty development fellowship. While prior academic teaching experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates with training in POCUS or Sports Medicine are especially encouraged to apply. Although obstetrical care is welcomed, it is not a requirement for this position.
