Bilingual Therapies is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher for a full-time, onsite position supporting students ages 18–22 in a transition classroom in Auburn, Washington. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced educator with a strong background in school-based Special Education and a passion for helping students prepare for life beyond the classroom. Candidates should have at least five years of relevant experience and hold the required Washington credentials.
Position Details
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
2026–2027 school year
Students ages 18–22
Transition classroom
Onsite only
School-based setting
Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction tailored to students’ individual needs and transition goals
Develop and implement appropriate lesson plans and instructional strategies
Support students in developing academic, functional, social, and life skills
Implement and monitor IEP goals and student progress
Collaborate with families, educators, and related service providers
Prepare students for post-secondary education, employment, and independent living
Qualifications & Experience
Valid Washington SPED License required
Washington ESA Certificate required
Verification of credentials must be provided
At least 5 years of relevant Special Education experience required
Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
Experience working with transition-age students preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
