Registered Nurse - Neuro/Ortho/Trauma

Location: Portland, ME

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend

Job Description: We are seeking a proactive and positive Registered Nurse to join our team in a Neuro/Ortho/Trauma unit. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care for neurosurgical patients, including those undergoing spinal surgeries, brain tumor operations, and managing traumatic injuries.

Responsibilities:

Deliver nursing care to patients with a focus on neuro and neurosurgical conditions.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Monitor and manage patients' conditions post-surgery, including those with seizure disorders, VP shunts, and head bleeds.
Provide education and support to patients and their families in recovery processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Neuro/Neurosurgical experience is required.
No specific certifications mandated for this position.
