About the Role
The Company is in search of a Dean for its College of Professional Advancement, a role that demands an accomplished and visionary academic leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall academic quality, strategic direction, financial health, and operational effectiveness of the College. This includes representing the College to various stakeholders, such as University leadership, accreditors, and community partners. The Dean will be expected to build upon the College's reputation, with a strong commitment to academic excellence, student success, and community engagement. They should be a seasoned administrator with a deep respect for the mission of professional and continuing education, and the entrepreneurial drive to grow programs and forge partnerships. Applicants for the Dean position at the College of Professional Advancement should be prepared to create a transformative educational experience for adult learners and professionals. The role requires a leader who can ensure academic excellence and financial sustainability, and who is dedicated to the mission of providing lifelong learning opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a background in a relevant field, a strong understanding of the needs of non-traditional and working adult students, and a proven track record in program development and community engagement. A commitment to the values of inclusivity, personal connection, and service to humankind is essential, in line with the College's and the University's mission. The Dean will also be responsible for liaising with academic departments and other units on campus, and for maintaining the College's close-knit, student-focused culture.
