Payroll Specialist

Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced a Payroll Specialist. This is a temp to hire position starting at $22 an hour DOE.


Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll for employees.
• Review and verify timesheets, deductions, bonuses, and payroll adjustments.
• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data accuracy.
• Calculate and process wage garnishments, deductions, and benefits.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare payroll reports and support audits and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with Human Resources regarding new hires, terminations, and employee changes.
• Ensure compliance with payroll laws, tax regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll experience preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
