SPEECH LANGUAGE SPECIALIST

JOB GOAL: Provides diagnostic, remedial, and consultative services for children with speech, language and communication disorders. Works in conjunction with staff members to determine specific needs of children who displays speech, language and hearing difficulties.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Valid New Jersey Department of Education Speech Language Specialist Endorsement
• Must be American Speech-Hearing-Language Association (ASHA) certified
• Prefer, minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Speech Language Specialist
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective therapy methods
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated competence to use the computer as a tool for management
• Effectively communicates and understands job instructions both verbally and written in the English language
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
