Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Henry Medical Services, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating Group Therapy: You will lead engaging group therapy sessions, fostering an inclusive environment for clients to share their experiences, connect with one another, and learn valuable coping strategies.
  • Providing Individual Therapy: Deliver personalized therapy sessions that allow clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. You will support them in developing effective coping strategies and actionable plans moving forward.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaboratively create individualized treatment plans that cater to the needs and preferences of each client, ensuring a goal-oriented approach that aligns with their personal recovery journey.
  • Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess and document client progress through various feedback and assessment tools, allowing you to adapt therapeutic interventions as necessary.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to guarantee comprehensive care coordination and consultation on complex cases.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will primarily be on young adults aged 18-30 who are enrolled in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This demographic often faces unique challenges, including mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. You will play a vital role in helping them navigate their emotional and psychological hurdles, empowering them to make lasting changes in their lives.

Qualifications

Prospective candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and possess a current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification. Your educational background should equip you with the foundational knowledge necessary for effectively addressing client needs in a therapeutic setting.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in outpatient mental health services, especially working with young adult populations, is preferred. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and evidence-based therapeutic interventions will be advantageous for your success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
