This role focuses on early childhood special education within self-contained classrooms, providing opportunities to collaborate closely with a dedicated team and help students reach their full potential.

As a valued educator, you’ll enjoy flexible work day options to suit your schedule. Choose between M-F, 8:15-12:15, or a blended schedule of M 8:15-4:15, W 8:15-4:15, and T 8:15-12:15. Mondays are dedicated entirely to paperwork or meetings for efficient planning and collaboration. You’ll occasionally float as a substitute as needed within the ECSE program. Each classroom is equipped with the support of two full-time paraeducators. While this contract begins as a 0.5 FTE role, there is the potential for it to expand to full time.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Tier 4 Early Childhood Special Education (SPED) teaching license required.
• Prior experience in special education preferred, especially with early childhood populations.
• Comfortable working in self-contained environments.
• Collaborative mindset with a passion for making a difference in students’ lives.
• Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction and individualized support to early childhood special education students.
• Work in partnership with paraeducators to foster a positive, inclusive classroom.
• Complete and manage required documentation, including IEPs, on designated paperwork/meeting days.
• Serve as a float sub within the ECSE program, contributing where needed.
