\n This opportunity offers hands-on experience supporting large-scale battery energy storage systems in a growing renewable-energy environment. Technicians will work across electrical, controls, battery, inverter, SCADA, HVAC, and chiller systems while building a long-term field-service career. The contract-to-hire structure gives candidates a defined path toward permanent employment and advancement.

Job Description The Field Resource Technician Level 3 performs onsite maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, testing, and repair activities for utility-scale battery energy storage systems. The technician works across batteries, inverters, SCADA communications, controls, medium- and high-voltage operations, substations, HVAC and chiller equipment, and related electrical assets. This person will follow established safety and lockout/tagout procedures, interpret drawings and schematics, execute and review work orders, support inventory and service reporting, coordinate third-party vendors, and help ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. The Level 3 technician also serves as a technical resource and mentor to junior team members and should demonstrate readiness for increased field-service responsibility. Required Skills \n

• High school diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience.
\n
• Strong electrical or HVAC experience; backgrounds in renewable energy, power generation, wind, solar, battery storage, gas, hydro, or distribution are relevant.
\n
• Hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting experience with batteries, bidirectional inverters, SCADA, controls, HVAC/chiller systems, and related electrical equipment.
\n
• Ability to read and interpret single-line drawings and schematics and follow quality-control and testing procedures.
\n
• Experience using electrical testing equipment, including multimeters and meggers, as well as torque and thermal-imaging tools.
\n
• Familiarity with managed Ethernet switches, fiber or serial media converters, TCP/IP, Modbus, control wiring, and I/O racks.
\n
• Current OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, and CPR certifications, or the ability to obtain them immediately.
\n
• Current driver's license and a good driving record, with the ability to operate company vehicles.
\n
• Ability to work fully onsite, adapt to hot and cold environments, work overtime or weekends when required, climb ladders or steps, and lift at least 50 pounds.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Previous wind-energy experience; the hiring manager noted that wind technicians often transition well into this work.

• Experience supporting utility-scale battery energy storage systems, substations, 1500 VDC equipment, 630 VAC systems, or medium- and high-voltage operations.

• Leadership and mentoring ability, strong computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation, urgency, adaptability, and clear communication.
