Overview HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest in Houston, TX Work Schedule: 3 days per week, 7p-7a / Rotating Weekends As an Acute Inpatient - Rehabilitation Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers and the care team. You will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage. You will act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization\'s vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes. What You Will Do In Your Role: Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for assigned patients. Meet the Standards of Practice for the Rehabilitation Unit and manage all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment. Participate in activities to plan, measure, assess and improve the quality of patient care. Instruct patients/families regarding the disease process. Handle admission paperwork specific to the Rehabilitation Unit. Participate in weekly patient care conferences, as needed. Assume responsibility for charging the unit, as needed. What qualifications you will need: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred. Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date). Current BLS Certification required. 1 year of clinical Med-Surg experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting.
