Respond to phone calls, emails, and client inquiries with confidence while delivering exceptional customer service. Guide clients through every stage of their visit, from registration and gathering patient information to invoicing and checkout. Help clients understand hospital processes, treatment plans, and associated charges. Escalate medical concerns to the veterinary team to ensure clients receive timely guidance regarding their pet's condition. Coordinate walk-in patient triage by notifying nursing staff and facilitating smooth patient handoffs. Serve as the communication hub between clients, veterinarians, technicians, hospital leadership, and referring veterinarians (RDVMs). Manage RDVM communications, including callbacks, faxes, and referral inquiries. Maintain accurate medical records and process financial transactions. Support reception operations while ensuring an organized, efficient, and welcoming environment. Qualifications Previous veterinary client service, veterinary receptionist, or customer service experience preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for helping people and their pets. Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced emergency and specialty hospital. Comfortable communicating with clients experiencing emotional or stressful situations. Strong computer skills and ability to learn veterinary practice management software. Positive attitude with a collaborative, team-focused approach. Fluent English speaking and reading skills required.
