Job Summary
MRI Technologist Location unspecified. This organization is seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to independently perform imaging procedures and technical diagnostics. The role involves maintaining safety standards, reviewing patient information, and ensuring accurate data acquisition for diagnostic purposes.

Job Details

• Shift Time: Rotating
• Responsibilities:
  Practices and maintains magnetic resonance (MR) safety in the department.
  Maintains clinical competency for all exams and equipment.
  Performs procedures for reviewing, processing, and archiving.
  Prior to the start of an exam, reviews all relevant information with the physician based on protocol.
  Properly identifies all patients by using two patient identifiers and utilizes universal protocol during procedures.
  Reviews patient history and assesses physician orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal results, including labeling, preparation, and administration of contrast.
  Documents patient history in electronic records.
  Demonstrates strong interaction skills with patients and co-workers, displaying caring, listening, dignity, and respect.
  Communicates instructions to patients clearly, explaining procedures to help allay fears and promote cooperation.
  Ensures all exams are properly coded, tracked, and documented, with exams properly networked for archiving and interpretation.
  Performs all other assigned duties, adhering to system-wide competencies and behaviors.
• Education and Knowledge Requirements:
  Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT or ARDMS program with MR registry. MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the primary registry date or hire date if already obtained. CNMT, ARDMS, and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire.
  Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
  Licenses and Certifications include ARRT Certificate, ARMRIT, NMTC, ARDMS, and BLS.
  Required Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 certifications.
