Travel/Contract COTA - Up to $2,100/week!

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Provide high-quality rehabilitative care as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant on a 13-week travel contract in Southern San Jose, CA. Work under a licensed OT to implement individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, and support patients in achieving functional independence. Earn up to $2,100 per week based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
2. Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patient mobility and daily living skills
3. Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising occupational therapist
4. Document treatments, progress notes, and patient responses accurately and timely
5. Educate patients and family members on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
6. Maintain compliance with all facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
7. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
8. Support patients in achieving rehabilitation goals and improving functional independence

Qualifications:

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification
• Active California COTA license required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative healthcare team

Preferred Skills:

• Previous rehabilitation or skilled nursing experience
