Summary

We are currently recruiting a Marine Technician to work in Nassau . Working hours vary and you must be flexible to operational requirements. Please note that this is a full-time, permanent position.

What you will be doing:

• Completing turnaround service checks, yacht preparation and deck washing
• Briefing of clients on yachts mechanical systems and safety equipment
• Maintenance and repairs to all yachts and yacht equipment/technology
• Proactive and preventative daily maintenance, checks and repairs
• Engine servicing such as oil and filter checks/changes
• Maintenance of outboards for tenders
• Emergency call outs for breakdowns on any of the fleet
• Ensuring the safety of all clients including safety briefings
• Assisting clients with queries and problems
• Assisting with the general running of the base
• Any other duties as directed by the Base Manager

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Experience maintaining diesel engines and 2 & 4 stroke outboard engines
• Working knowledge of 12V DC electrical systems and yacht plumbing systems
• Practically minded with an ability to solve problems
• Capable of performing efficiently under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
• Experience in a customer facing environment
• Sociable and positive personality
• A strong team mate
• Yacht sailing experience is desirable but not essential
