Buyer I 6 - month contract (possible extension)
Location: Gulf Breeze/Pensacola, FL
Job Summary:
Responsible for procuring materials, equipment, and services for DoD programs. Works with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement.
Key Skills / Requirements:
- Prior Defense industry procurement experience required
- Prepare and issue RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs in compliance with applicable regulations
- Negotiate supplier pricing, terms, and conditions
- Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DCMA requirements
- Supplier evaluation, cost/price analysis, and contract administration
- Experience with Oracle or other ERP/procurement systems (Oracle preferred)
- Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder with documentation required
Schedule:
- 9/80 schedule – every other Friday off
- 1st shift – 8:00 AM start
