Full Time - CDL Delivery Driver

Customer Service Provide SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs. Seek out customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise. Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions, walking them through projects when necessary. Demonstrate sincere appreciation to customers. Communicate information regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs. Contact customers regarding delivery or coordinate with the truck driver to call the customer. In-stock Delivery Plan delivery activities, print loading tickets, and deliver merchandise according to schedule to ensure on-time delivery of orders. Pull merchandise, build and band delivery loads, and load trucks (within payload) according to delivery order. Inspect condition of products (e.g., appliances) before loading for delivery or assist customer with loading. Match items on invoice with quantities loaded by verifying descriptions, items, and model numbers. Clean and Safe Stores Ensure that loads are safe, secure, and within Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Update delivery and route status (e.g., on-site, completed) on system for tracking purposes. Unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery. Verify daily vehicle inspections and reports, and ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and repairs for delivery vehicles and other equipment. Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) reporting to maintain DOT certification and CDL compliance. Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicate them to management and/or Asset Protection. Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas. Maintain a safe and secure work environment, conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates. Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to one’s regular job duties, including top stock safety, reinstalling safety cables, use of aisle blockers, a tether line on power equipment, spotters, and safety devices. Operate store equipment as needed depending on one specific role and department (e.g., Zebra phone, paging system, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV, key cutter, panel saw, paint mixer, flooring cutters, compacter baler). Be held accountable for other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Class A CDL License – required in locations with multi‑unit CMV (tractor trailer & flatbed). Class B CDL License – required in locations with single‑unit CMV (tandem flatbed) with an air‑break endorsement. Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment. Ability to pass an MVR screen in accordance with company requirements. Ability to obtain sales‑related licensure or registration as may be required by law. Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction). Must be 21 years of age. Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations. Preferences 1 year experience driving a semi‑truck/trailer or certification from a driving school. 6 months experience performing in‑home delivery or retail customer service. 3 months experience operating a forklift or loading/unloading a vehicle. Pay Range: $21.75 – $23.50 per hour.
