Position: Kitchen Aide
Program and Location: Peterson Senior Activity Center Meal Program - Kearney
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for general cleaning, housekeeping, and dishwashing in the kitchen and dining area.
- Ensure the maintenance of all kitchen equipment and daily kitchen and dining area clean up .
- Assist in daily meal preparation as needed.
Tasks and Duties:
- Assist on serving line, as needed.
- Assist in daily meal preparation.
- Clean kitchen area, dining area, and store room area .
- Clean all utensils, cooking vessels, and serving equipment .
- Inventory tracking/reporting as needed.
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED. Consideration will be given to individuals without a diploma or GED.
Required Skills:
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the general public and agency employees.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time (cooking, meal serving, cleaning)
- Ability to lift more than 30 pounds on a regular basis.
Schedule/Hours: 20 hours per week , Monday-Friday. Typical hours are scheduled between 9:30 am and 1:30 pm.
Pay Rate: Starting pay is $15.00 p er hour. Benefits are not available for this position.
