Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - PRN

The Lutheran Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN position on our dynamic team. This role includes hours between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. As a PTA, you will assist in implementing treatment plans developed by our physical therapists to support the needs of residents in our healthcare community. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Assist in the implementation of treatment plans and carry out routine functions Document the progress of treatment and modify specific treatments in accordance with the patient’s status and within the scope of the treatment plan established by the physical therapist Provide skilled assistance and instruction on ordered therapeutic components designed to meet established goals Appropriately test or measure joint range-of-motion, manual muscle strength, vital signs, or other objective tests to determine effects of treatments Transport patients to and from treatment areas, lifting and transferring them according to positioning requirements Assist with discharge planning and recommendations to facilitate safe transition plans for beneficiaries when appropriate License/Certification required: Licensed to work as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Missouri Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred About the Lutheran Home: Since 1972, the Lutheran Home has provided the region's residents with dignified and compassionate care.
