Step into an impactful role supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher serving Kindergarten and 1st-grade students in a dedicated SDC classroom. This contract position, located in Napa, CA, extends through June 4, 2027, offering a rewarding opportunity to nurture student growth and collaborate with a supportive classroom team, including two paraprofessionals.

You’ll have the chance to make a difference with a moderate caseload, focusing on foundational academic and developmental skills. This full-time assignment is 37.5 hours per week, providing stability and consistency as you build relationships and foster positive outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid and active California mild/moderate Special Education teaching credential (required)
• Please be prepared to provide a screenshot of your current CTC credential
• Experience working with elementary-age students in a special day class or similar setting preferred
• Strong classroom management abilities and collaborative mindset
• Dedication to individualized instruction and inclusive practices

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
• Instruct and support K-1 students in small groups and individualized settings
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, specialists, and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress
• Foster a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
