Accounting Assistant

Accounting AssistantAssist with all functions of accounting.Essential Job FunctionsProcess requisitions into purchase orders.Receive vendor invoices and process for payment.Process purchase orders for payment.Process and distribute checks to vendors.File check stubs with appropriate back-up for future reference.Provide support and assistance as needed to the cashier and department.Other duties as required.Specific Functional Job RequirementsEducation Requirements:H.S. Diploma Required, AAS in business or appropriate major preferred.Experience Requirements:Background in bookkeeping.Knowledge:General understanding of accounting process.Skills:Ability to work with and understand numbers and accounting.Personal Requirements:Work well in close environment with others. Provide exemplary customer service and handle pressure from vendors and end of month/year heavy work load.BenefitsThis position is not eligible for benefits.
