NOW HIRING: SHEET METAL MECHANICS & JOURNEYMEN
Location: Austin, Texas
Kodiak Labor Solutions is hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics and Journeymen for commercial construction projects in the Austin area.
PAY RATES
- Sheet Metal Mechanics: $22–$28 per hour
- Sheet Metal Journeymen: $28–$36 per hour
- Hours: 40–60 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10-hour shifts, overtime available, weekends as needed
- Job Type: Full-time
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install and assemble commercial HVAC ductwork, vents, and sheet metal systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
- Measure, cut, bend, fabricate, and install sheet metal components.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Inspect installations and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and other trades.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous sheet metal experience in commercial or industrial construction.
- Ability to read blueprints and use sheet metal tools.
- Journeyman-level experience required for journeyman pay.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various jobsite conditions.
- Reliable transportation, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred.
