Intermediate Full Stack Java Developer - Remote

Salary: $128,960 - 133,120 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience
• Demonstrated experience developing full-stack Java applications with Spring Boot
• Experience using Kafka for communication between microservices
• Cloud experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure, including deploying code to cloud environments
• Database experience, such as PostgreSQL, and strong SQL skills
• Experience building or supporting high-volume, data-intensive applications
• Hands-on AI-first or agentic engineering experience, including tools or methods such as Copilot, Claude, AI agents, large language models, or prompt engineering
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• GCP experience is preferred
• React experience is preferred

• Design and deliver new features, including AI-driven solutions
• Develop and support full-stack Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices
• Build and maintain Kafka-based communication between microservices
• Assess application systems designed to process large volumes of data
• Design, code, test, debug, and document software
• Work with business users, systems analysts, technical leads, and project managers to define specifications
• Analyze, define, and document data, workflow, logical process, and system interface requirements
• Deploy applications and code to cloud environments
• Install applications in production in accordance with change-control processes
• Create and carry out acceptance test plans to confirm products meet customer requirements
• Apply AI-first and agentic engineering practices in the development workflow
• Support teammates with technical questions and troubleshooting

We are recruiting an Intermediate Full Stack Java Developer for a leading pharmacy benefit manager. This is a long-term, 100% remote contract role on an Agile team building a fully cloud-based application in an AI-first, agentic engineering environment. Compensation is $62–$64 per hour on a W-2 basis, depending on qualifications.
