Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

Experience: Minimum years of experience required
License: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State.
Certifications: Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card required.
Must-Have: Cardiac, vascular, and hybrid experience. Must be able to scrub and circulate.


Description:
Provide nursing care for patients following established standards and practices.
Apply professional nursing theory and practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Perform patient assessments reflecting various patient needs through systematic collection and review of patient-specific data.
Plan and prioritize care based on assessment, evaluate patient progress, and revise care as needed.
Include patients and families in planning care and evaluating programs and outcomes.
Demonstrate clinical competencies as described in departmental performance standards.
Assess patient and family learning needs, provide education, and evaluate effectiveness in achieving desired outcomes.
Identify and respond appropriately to ethical issues in patient care.
Provide nursing care in a manner that respects patient diversity and acknowledges patient rights.
Serve as a resource to others in addressing ethical dilemmas in patient care.
Initiate collaborative dialogue with physicians and coordinate multidisciplinary activities to plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care.
Act as a patient advocate.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, core measures, patient safety, and quality initiatives to achieve optimal clinical and organizational outcomes.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.


Work demands include frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting/moving patients.
Intermittent lifting, moving, or carrying up to 50 lbs is required.
Coordinate and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff.
Ability to analyze situations and apply critical thinking.
Communicate clearly and react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Experience exposure to blood, body fluids, and possible infectious materials.
Work under stressful conditions and may be required to take call or work weekends/holidays based on departmental needs.
