This temporary, on-site Medical Records Clerk role in Torrance supports the Document Imaging—Scanning department by organizing, scanning, indexing, uploading, and maintaining personnel files. The position requires careful handling of confidential employee records, accurate use of an electronic health record system, and strong attention to detail. The work location is 4140 W. 190th St #168, Torrance, CA 90504.

Responsibilities

• Scan, index, and upload personnel files.
• Organize, maintain, and retrieve electronic and paper employee records.
• Receive and maintain storage files for scanning and data entry.
• Use an electronic health record system to index, upload, query, and track records.
• Perform scanning quality checks and indexing accuracy audits.
• Protect the privacy and confidentiality of sensitive employee records.
• Support document imaging and records maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to two years of experience in healthcare or a related field involving employee files.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience using scanning technology.
• Ability to perform document scanning, data entry, and records indexing.
• Understanding of confidentiality and health information privacy.

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in medical records administration.
• Experience identifying and processing employee file documentation.
• Experience with electronic health record systems.
